The setting is special. There are long sandy beaches backed by sand dunes and pine forests. To the south is a natural habitat for over 300 species of birds. Sheltered behind the dunes, 2km from Fort Mahon, Belle Dune is situated beside a lake, the houses built in traditional, turn of the century Picardy style, but with all mod cons. Snaking between the dunes and the forest is an excellent par 72 golf course. Belle Dune is a paradise for children, with unlimited access to the Aquaclub, a huge swimming pool complex with indoor and outdoor heated pools, a wave maker, water jets and a giant water slide. On the lake you can hire rowing boats and Optimist dinghies. Nearby Fort Mahon has a sailing club and sand yachting with speed sailing at Quend beach. There are walks through the woods, bicycle trails in the dunes and horse riding along the beach. A little train links Belle Dune and Fort Mahon's beaches free of charge from 29/6-21/9 except Saturdays. The village has a bar and lounge, and a restaurant which overlooks the main square by the lake. All services are in Fort Mahon and there is a supermarket 10km away.
Accommodation:
Studios for 4/5 (28m²) have living room with two sofa beds and a pull out bed, alcove with bunk beds, fully equipped kitchenette (4 hot plates, fridge, mini-oven, dishwasher, electric coffee machine), bathroom, separate WC, telephone, balcony.
Apartments for 4/5 (34m²) have a bedroom with double bed instead of the alcove.
Apartments for 6/7 (44m²) have a bedroom with double bed and an alcove with two single beds.
Houses for 5/6 (43m²) have living/bedroom area, WC, fully equipped kitchen (4 hot plates, fridge, oven, dishwasher, electric coffee machine) and telephone. First floor: bedroom with double bed and bedroom with 2 single beds, bathroom.
Houses for 7/8 (51m²) have the same plus a shower room with WC on the ground floor, an extra alcove with bunk beds and a bathroom with WC on the first floor.
