Lenny Roseleur and friends (Eveline, Barbara, Marnis, Gÿsje, Marlies, Annelie, Wouter, Tomas, Erwin, Cishe & Jan) - Holland - Dear Chris, We couldn't have started the year 2006 any better than in this wonderful castle ! We spent the most of the time in this perfect kitchen preparing castle-worthy dinners, but even more time in the dinning room enjoying them ! Not to mention the delicious local wine to complete it... Of Course we enjoyed the surroundings of the Vendée, too (in between meals) and we are already planning a return in summer to try the swimming pool. The only bad news is... 2006 can only get worse !! Kieran Coen - Ireland - Dear Chris I sincerely hope that other families enjoy Chris's chateau half as much as we did, the pool was great on hot days, the bright kitchen was wonderful for long protracted breakfasts and eating out under the stars sipping Vendéen wine between the Pigeonniére, the Logis and the chateau was incomparable. Two weeks flew by too fast. Well done Chris, a truly memorable French chateau holiday - your excursion recommendations were all excellent - particularly Puy du Fou and La Rochelle. By the way thanks for the Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois suggestion, really good value! I hope you can use some of these comments Chris and thanks again for a really great stay - your good humour and helpful advice made all the difference.
