This pretty, fully air-conditioned stone-clad cottage overlooks the village of Katelios and the sea in the distance and is perched on the hillside a short way off the main road leading into the village.
This unique property is newly constructed from natural stone to a very high standard and is one of the few one bedroomed villas with private pool available for rental on the Island. A real little "love nest", which boasts every amenity and we are just delighted to include it in our Cephalonia programme.
A private drive leads off the entrance road to the villa and up to the side entrance. The main door leads into the very attractive modern dining/kitchen, which comes complete with fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Double patio doors open out onto the front pool terrace affording a wonderful light and airy feel to this ground floor area. The open plan design then leads into a cosy well furnished lounge with feature fireplace, satellite TV (limited channels), DVD and CD player. Patio doors once again open out onto the front terrace and those lovely views out across to the village beyond.
Stairs lead up from the lounge area to the superb air-conditioned bedroom suite. The spacious double bedroom has dressing area, shower room with walk-in shower and WC and large patio doors open out onto a very large sunbathing terrace overlooking the pool.
The villa is air-conditioned/heated at no extra charge.
The outside area is delightful and boasts a 6 metre pool with shallow end and spacious well furnished terraces surround this, which includes a brick built barbeque for those romantic meals al-fresco.
The pretty fishing village of Katelios, which has grown up into a most attractive mini resort around a small harbour and sandy beach, is literally 2 minutes by car down the hill. It boasts some of the best beachside tavernas on the island specialising in fresh fish usually caught that day. There are boats for hire and the nearby larger resort of Skala is no more than 10 minutes by car.
