The property was completely renovated in 2005 with high quality modern furnishings – simple yet ideal for summer living. In common with other properties close to the sea Villa Aosta has only a small garden, but there is a children's play park within walking distance. It also has a private courtyard, equipped with garden dining furniture, at the rear leading out directly from the living area. The courtyard area can be lit at night and is perfect for dining ‘al fresco'. Villa Aosta consists of a main house on two floors, plus an annexe in the garden (the bedrooms in the main house only are air-conditioned) – ideal for families with teenage children as it allows a degree of independence whilst holidaying as a family.

Entrance is onto the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. There is a shower room on the ground floor, plus a full bathroom upstairs. Bedrooms consist of 1 x double and 1 x twin (which can be made up as a double).
The garden cottage consists of a twin bedroom and a full shower room. It is located by the courtyard just a few feet away from the French doors off the living area of the main house.

Bridgewater has its own office in Pietrasanta,a magical town of 'art & artists' where Michelangelo once lived. The Medieval town nestles at the foot of the marble clad Apuan alps only a few minutes drive (or bike ride) from some of Italy's most immaculate wide sandy beaches. The area is loved by locals as well as international artists, sculptors and celebrities yet relatively undiscovered by tourists. The Tuscan Riviera is the ideal destination from which to explore the best that Italy has to offer with a private villa as your base. Perfect for beach lovers and those who are looking for art, culture, and cuisine as well as splendid countryside. Music lovers will be interested to know that ‘Torre del Lago' (where the maestro Giacomo Puccini lived and wrote his operas) is only 15 minutes drive and you can enjoy Puccini's operas beneath the stars at the open air theatre by the lake. Walking in the alps is also popular in this area of Italy and the food is some of the best that Italy has to offer…simple, fresh, rustic cuisine to satisfy the most discerning of pallets. There is also tennis, watersports, clay pigeon shooting, golf, horse-riding in the area.

Pisa is the nearest airport to fly to for this property. (Bologna, Florence & Genoa are also within reasonable distance). The journey from the airport can be made either by hire car, taxi or train in to Pietrasanta station. Bridgewater can arrange bike hire and beach club membership prior to departure as well as other 'Finishing Touches' such as hampers etc.
