A recently built property, situated on a vast agricultural estate, surrounded by peaceful green hills with stunning panoramic views in all directions yet just 1200 metres from the ancient town of Camaiore with all that means in terms of trattorias and local amenities. Given such an idyllic setting it is hard to believe that Tuscany's golden coast is just a short drive away. Art and history lovers will find numerous towns and villages to visit in the neighbourhood, including enchanting Pietrasanta.
Food and wine lovers will rediscover age-old dishes and have the opportunity to try out new flavours in this area renowned as a gourmets paradise.
Originally built for the farm owners' own occupation, Villa Grande is entered via a private driveway on the lower part of the property. The farmer will leave you freshly picked tomatoes and invites you to pick fragrant basil and fruit from their surrounding land.
The accommodation is arranged as two separate units, linked by an external stairway between the up and down accommodation offering a great deal of space and privacy to the larger party. Much care has been taken with the interior furnishings which are a very good standard and offer a high level of comfort in a mixture of modern and traditional styles.
The well tended fenced garden has outside furniture and paved barbecue area gently sloping down towards the olive grove where the swimming pool is located. The gated pool complex with changing room, shower and WC is separated from the house by the private driveway making the house a good choice for families with young children.
The poolside area is lush with olive trees, the blossom of oleanders and enjoys enchanting panoramic views over the gentle encompassing hills. Our guests here will appreciate the excellent standard of accommodation combined with an idyllic country setting yet so close to Camaiore town and the sea.
The nearest restaurant to Agricola Montebello is Il Centro Storico (1.2km, 15 mins walk), or about the same distance is Le Monache (typical tuscan fayre. There is a small grocery store (selling typical produce and fresh bread) which also has a small bar which is only 3 minutes walk. You can walk into Camaiore centre in about 20 minutes where you will find many restaurants, bars and shops.
