Beautiful large villa with fabulous sea views and private pool. This beautiful villa having been extensively renovated, it has the charm, character & size of an older property with the luxury and modern amenities to match newer properties. Just a 20 min walk/ 2 min drive from the beach, shops & restaurants, but still retaining a high degree of privacy being positioned in a no through road in a residential area. The villa and pool (heating optional)have fabulous sea views. Next to the pool is a covered barbeque & dining area, which stays wonderfully cool in the heat. This area also has a fridge & sink with hot and cold water making poolside dining and drinking very convenient. The villa has 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. All the bedrooms have tiled floors, built in wardrobes and the bathrooms and kitchen are brand new. The pool terrace is large and well equipped with numerous sun-loungers and parasols. There is a poolside toilet & shower & table tennis table. Secure parking for several cars and a quiet grass area lovely for children.

All bedrooms have patio doors that open onto either the garden or the pool area but are safe for children as they have lockable shutters and doors. All the bedrooms were newly tiled and decorated in 2005 and have new beds, bedding, curtains and shutters and are spacious. The large kitchen has cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave etc. All the appliances are new. The pool terrace is large and well equipped. There is a poolside toilet and shower.

Parque Da Floresta In recent years there has been a considerable investment made in the course, including the addition of a Golf Academy and the redesign of several holes. This course has already become famous for having some classic golf holes. The 'Postage Stamp' par 3 fifth of just 113 metres to the smallest of bunker-surrounded greens makes an accurate tee shot essential. The par 5 ninth ranks among the toughest stroke-index 1 holes ever designed. The picturesque, short par 3 eleventh - guarded on two sides by water - is one of the most inviting holes you could wish to play and is followed by a par 5 that leads up the 'Valley of the Wells' to another elevated green. Having played along the 'Lost Valley' of the par 4 fourteenth, with its spectacular views to the village of Figueira and the sea, you are faced with the dramatic tee shot of the par 3 fifteenth. Here, on the tee, players are presented with an imposing view of a large, picturesque lake that has to be carried in order to reach the wide, but shallow, green.

This property is outstanding in every way. For a family / group holiday I can't imagine you would find anywhere better. The layout of the villa and large room sizes ensure privacy and luxury for everyone - no one had to put up with 'the small room' , there isn't one. The outside spaces are stunning - bbq area, higher terrace with dining area, amazing pool area and lawn all contained within the outer wall offer privacy and safety along with great views and plenty of shady areas for the grandparents! The town was smaller and quieter than I expected but catered for all needs, such friendly people and fabulous bars and restaurants. The short walk down and back up from the supermarket worked up an appetite - have a glass of sangria at the bar above the beach and a meal at the restaurant on the beach. To sum up; A fab location, fab villa and fab holiday.

Praia da Luz is a lovely family orientated resort towards the quieter Western end of the Algarve coast. The beach is long and sandy and backed by a beautiful palm tree lined promenade. It has numerous restaurants, bars and shops. The larger town of Lagos is only a 10-minute drive away and this has a more cosmopolitan nightlife along with a lovely marina, loads more restaurants and shops and several sandy beaches. The Algarve is famous for its fabulous golf courses and the closest are Boavista and Parque da floresta which are both a 5 minute drive. As Casa Crisdell is so close to all these amenities car hire is not essential although we would recommend it to allow exploration of the lovely Algarve coastline, mountains and towns. The walk back to the villa from the town is uphill but there is a good taxi rank in the town if you fancy saving your legs on the way back!
