This property is is an early 18th century stone farmhouse, meticulously restored to its original proportions, with a few creature comforts thrown in (built-in 25 yard swimming pool, tennis court, soccer field, grand piano, artist's atelier, to name just a few). Surrounded by ten acres of its own working vineyards, the mas sits nestled in a cozy hollow just outside the famous Roman battlefield towns of Trets and Pourrieres. Affording the professional and amateur painter alike a spectacular view of Cezanne's Mt. Sainte Victorie, the recreational possibilities are endless. The mas can sleep up to 14 in its eight bedrooms, fitted out in traditional Provencal fabrics and colors. Its three working fireplaces whip the chill out of even the fiercest Mistral winds.
The antique farmer's table in the fully and professionally equipped, self-catering kitchen has accommodated, according to legend, up to 24 mouths at a single seating, and has played host to a number of French cooking instructional seminars (guests are welcome to cook for themselves after foraging at one of the numerous and abundant area farmer's markets, or meals may be arranged by a cuisinier proficient in the local dishes {coq au vin, leg of lamb with haricots blancs, pesto soup, wild boar or wild hare stew, tarte tomate provencal--the choices are inexhaustible}).
Should the Mas be too big, or not big enough for your travel party, there are numerous charming hotels and pensions throughout the area from which a personalized tour can be based. We can provide recommendations, as needed.
The domaine is a working vineyard and produces Cotes de Provence rose and red wine. . Surrounded by vineyards, lavender fields and gardens, it is an enchanting location. The nearby village of Pourrieres and the distant but striking Ste Victoire, Cezanne's favourite subject matter, provide a beautiful backdrop. The bustling town of Aix en Provence is just 25km.

The rental of the country house with 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 3 toilets includes the use of the garden and facilities , including the pool, poolhouse and tennis court. It excludes the apartment of the regisseur. As the vineyard is a working vineyard wine is sold from the bureau du regisseur which has a seperate entrance at the rear of the house.
